“Replay” – Zendaya

I’m not sure what I love so much about this video,
but it is awesome! The song itself is super catchy,
and as always, Zendaya’s dancing is phenomenal.

“Roar” – Katy Perry

Okay, so the video is a little bit cheesy, but
it’s also adorable. Plus, this song is an amazing
power anthem. Love it!

“Miss Movin’ On” – Fifth Harmony

I think carnivals/amusement parks are a great setting
for videos so that adds to this, but really I just adore this
song. It’s a great break-up song, and I could listen to it
on repeat.

“Wrecking Ball” Cover by Cimorelli

So I’m in love with this song (when Miley’s not singing it naked…),
and these girls are insanely talented. Their video is also quite
creative. The black and white was a great choice, and the effects
are pretty fantastic.

Red – Taylor Swift

I’ve been waiting for this forever it seems like. Speak Now and Fearless were flawlessly brilliant albums, so I had extremely high hopes for this one. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to my expectations. I think she went a little too pop with some of the songs, and I miss the more country sound she had.

Favorite Tracks: All Too Well, Begin Again, The Lucky One, The Last Time

Album Rating: 3.5/4 out of 5

Julianne Hough – Julianne Hough

Her voice is just unique, and, after listening to the Rock of Ages soundtrack on repeat, I got this cd from CD Swap. I really enjoy hearing her sing, and her album is fabulous. It’s a shame it has not gotten more attention; I hope she makes a follow-up.

Favorite Tracks: Dreaming Under the Same Moon, Help Me, Help You, That Song in My Head

Album Rating: 4 out of 5

Some Hearts – Carrie Underwood

I recently rediscovered my love for Carrie Underwood’s music, and, instead of spending money to buy her newest album, I was able to get this one from CD Swap. That worked out perfectly as it has some of my favorite early songs (Before He Cheats, I Just Can’t Live a Lie, Wasted). It also introduced me to some remarkable songs that I hadn’t heard before.

Favorite Tracks: The Night Before (Life Goes On), I Ain’t In Checotah Anymore

Album Rating: 4 out of 5

Evita, the film soundtrack

I think this is both a marvelous stage show and film. The music is truly the heart and soul of both. It is beautiful and heartbreaking, and it tells a story that is so honest and true. I absolutely love this soundtrack.

Wreck of the Day – Anna Nalick

I am obsessed with her song “Breathe (2am)” so when I saw this album on sale for just a couple of dollars I couldn’t resist picking it up. I haven’t had a chance to listen to all of the songs, but so far I am enjoying it.

Favorite Tracks: Breathe (2am), In the Rough, Wreck of the Day
